Cepheid Visits Pakistan
Mr Ahmed Ramzy, Cepheid’s Marketing Manager for the Middle East, Central Asia, and Turkey visited GMS Pakistan on an official visit from 6th March 2017 to 10th March 2017. In this week-long visit, GMS organised a series of seminars and session across the country. He also had in-depth meetings to discuss the Xpert assays sensitivity with the KOLs in the field of Oncology, Gynaecology, and Gastroenterology. They highly appreciated the scalability and on-demand fast results of GeneXpert.
Highlights included:
- Discussion with Dr. Huma Qureshi (Executive Director, PMRC) for the Xpert HCV screening test and availability of effective interventions for HCV infection at district level
- Meeting with Dr. Atifa Shoaib (Consultant Hematologist, Holy Family Hospital) with collaboration of Novartis to discuss the GOP project for monitoring of 2000 CML patients with Xpert BCR-ABL
- Discussion with Dr. Sofia (HIV senior program officer) about validation and acceptance for Xpert HIV on global funds to request by HBDC program
