GMS was the gold sponsor of the 11th annual conference of Asian Association of Transfusion Medicine (AATM, 9th-11thOctober, 2015) at Serena hotel, Islamabad. The event was hosted by Safe blood transfusion program (SBTP) in collaboration with; AFIP, SZABMU, and PSH.
The conference was attended by more than 300 distinguished hematologists of Pakistan and 50 delegates from regional member countries. The scientific exhibition attracted a high-level audience from sectors of hematology and blood banking.
GMS exhibited its complete range of solutions for; blood banking and hematology. Attractions included; Practical demonstration of the GeneXpert, Hb testing via EKF’s Hemo Control, Hands-on training of tube sealer, collection mixer, plasma separator by Centron Technologies, demonstration of Minicap (Sebia, France), refrigerated centrifuge (Thermo Fisher, USA), cold storage solutions (Fiocchetti, Italy), and launching of Yumizen (Horiba, France). Yumizen is an advanced 5 part/ diff hematology analyzer designed to provide safe and easy diagnosis. Visitors showed great interest in GeneXpert system; this system enables molecular tests to be performed easily, efficiently and accurately, without the need for traditional batch processing. It is an automated platform that combines onboard sample preparation with real-time PCR, amplification and detection functions for nucleic acid analysis.
