Illumina visit to Pakistan
Illumina Associate Director Sales, Emerging Markets EMEA, Mr. Stephane Garcia, Sales & Commercial Leader, Illumina Middle East, Mr. Greg Gonzalez, Sr.Partner Account Specialist, Illumina Middle East, Mr. Alissa Abdulelah and Executive Partner Account Manager, Illumina Middle East, Mr. Zain Zaidi visited GMS Pakistan from 12th October to 14th October 2021.
The team visited the University of Karachi and Agha Khan University Hospital. During the visit to the University of Karachi, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director ICCBS, chaired the meeting with their Genomics Team Head, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ishtiaque. They discussed the prospects of genomics in Pakistan and how the Next Generation Sequencing technology (NGS) empowered the research and clinical approach.
During the visit to AKUH, the team meets the Clinical end-user of the Genomic core facility. Dr. Zahra Hasan, Professor Section of Molecular Pathology, Department of Pathology and Laboratory, AKUH, chaired the meeting.
