GMS participated in EP Conference 2020
17th International Cardiac Electrophysiology Conference commenced at Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC & NIHD) Rawalpindi.
GMS participated in this conference and showcased its strength and also invited their partner Johnson & Johnson and Biotronik leading solution provider of heart diseases. Business & Clinical Development Manager, Mr. Kamal Hammad & Clinical Education Manager, Ms. Stella Elizabeth attended the conference along with Biotronik Business Development Manager, Mr. Eckhard Dreier.
President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi was the chief guest on inaugural session of 3 days long conference.
A comprehensive scientific and academic program was also organized during the conference. World renowned cardiac electrophysiologists from the USA, UK, Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon, Turkey, and Azerbaijan attended the conference along with experts from Pakistan.
In addition to this, industry talks on “Electrophysiology: Innovation & Advancement” by Ms. Stella Elizabeth and “Subclinical Risk of Atrial Fibrillation and Heart Failure and Prevention among CIED Patients” by Mr. Eckhard Dreier was also arranged. The effort was greatly appreciated by the audience.
While speaking at the occasion, the president appreciated the standard of patient care at AFIC/NIHD and the dedication and devotion of doctors and paramedical staff. He stressed upon the need of concrete efforts for the treatment of communicable diseases and emphasized on prevention measures.
