AMR Awareness Sessions
Antimicrobial Resistance is a growing concern nowadays, so as a leading healthcare provider, GMS plays its role in spreading awareness related to AMR. GMS has organized nationwide awareness sessions at multiple healthcare deliveries in different cities throughout the week, 18th - 24th November.
In Chughtai Lab, Lahore, Key speakers Dr. Irum Iftikhar, HOD Microbiology, and Dr. Urooj Sattar, Microbiologist, highlighted the importance of Antibiotics and microbiologists role in AMR.
In Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Wajid Ali Sipra, HOD Microbiology, delivered a lecture related to awareness for AMR.
In Indus Hospital, Karachi, Dr. Samreen Sarfraz, Consultant Infectious Disease, Dr. Fareeha Adnan, Consultant Microbiology, and Mr. Shakir Hussain, Assistant Manager Laboratory, highlighted the importance of AMR.
In Karachi Medical Complex, Dr. Rafiq Khanani, Head of Infection Control Society of Pakistan, throws the light on AMR awareness.
