GMS workshop on automated electrophoresis
GMS organized a workshop on Multiple Myeloma, Hemoglobinopathies, and HbA1c. The event took place on 11th May 2016 at Islamabad Club. Hematologists from various reputable institutions were invited to attend the session.
Mr. Thomas Gatheiler, Marketing Manager Sebia, delivered a detailed presentation on “Role of HbA1c in Diagnosis and Monitoring of Diabetes” and “Multiple Myeloma”. Capillary electrophoresis is the most used technique worldwide. The Sebia capillary electrophoresis (CE) instruments, CAPILLARYS and MINICAP, have been developed to provide complete automation, with fast separation and high resolution.
Highlight of the event was a featured lecture by Maj. Gen. (R) Dr. Suhaib Ahmed on “Pitfalls in Diagnosis of Genetic Hemoglobin Disorders”.
