GMS singed a contract with Novartis for BCR-ABL screening in Pakistan
Global Marketing Services has entered into a collaboration with Novartis for the promotion of Cepheid BCR-ABL on GeneXpert, for monitoring the BCR-ABL gene transcript in blood samples from patients diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML).
As a part of this program, GMS will conduct Xpert BCR ABL tests for all the registered patients across Pakistan. The testing will be done on more than 10 sites in all the major cities of the country.
GMS has always been committed to providing standardized testing to support the treatment & management of patients. Monitoring levels of BCR-ABL transcripts in CML patients will aid in effective treatment and better patient management.
GMS will also explore further collaboration to extend the GeneXpert system services to patients in the oncology field and help physicians better manage patient treatment.
